Neil Smith is a senior partner in BDO’s audit & assurance team in Perth. He has extensive experience working with ASX-listed companies, and large private companies, including subsidiaries of multinationals.
Mr Smith advises clients in the increasingly complex area of financial reporting, addressing their statutory and other assurance requirements.
He is highly regarded for his depth of financial reporting, audit, and assurance experience, and his hands-on, practical approach when working with clients.
Mr Smith has over 30 years’ experience in audit, accounting, and advisory roles in public and private practice in Australia and Europe and has worked at partner level in public practice for the past 28 years.
Mr Smith joined BDO in 2016 following more than five years as a partner with a global accounting firm and 14 years as a Partner at a mid-tier accounting firm, where he served as Managing Partner of the WA practice, as well as on its national board of directors.
