Mutsumi Ishizuki

Mutsumi Ishizuki has more than 30 years of experience in both ferrous and non-ferrous raw materials business in Asia, Oceania, Africa, and the Americas. He graduated from Keio University in March 1981 with a degree in Economics and joined Marubeni Corporation in April the same year. Mr Ishizuki was appointed general manager of the iron ore sec-1 in 1998. In April 2006, he became general manager of the non-ferrous metals & ores department where he spearheaded multiple initiatives to significantly expand Marubeni’s copper business in Chile. After becoming executive officer in April 2011, Mr Ishizuki led Marubeni’s equity participation in Roy Hill Project and in April 2012, he became chief operating officer of the metals & mineral resources division and has been leading the division since then. In April 2014, he was named managing executive officer.
