Michael Werner

Michael Werner holds a Masters in Geology and has over 35 years of experience across a range of commodities including coal, oil, gas and salt. He has special expertise in industrial salt production, and cavern storage design and development globally. Since 2009, his consultancy has provided international salt expertise, planning & project execution services in Saudi Arabia, Africa, Brazil, Germany, USA, Canada and China. Mr Werner also has specific experience in the fields of rock mechanics and stability modelling for cavern storage & brine mining, and project management and production leadership for operations in Germany. He has also provided project support for Dow Chemicals in USA, Brazil and Germany.
