Michael O'Brien has 28 years of experience in real estate including shopping centre management and development, real estate funds management and finance. Prior to joining Vicinity Centres in 2015, Mr O'Brien held a number of senior roles at The GPT Group including as group executive of corporate development, chief operating officer, chief financial officer, and acting chief executive from 2008 to 2009. Previous to this, Mr O'Brien was at LendLease Corporation where he held a variety of funds management and shopping centre management positions including as chief executive of LendLease Retail. He is a Fellow of the Australian Property Institute and a Director of the Green Building Council of Australia.
