Michael Leu has over 40 years of geological experience and has held managerial roles including as chief geologist, chief executive and managing director of ASX-listed exploration companies. He has been involved in exploration and mining across a range of mineral commodities within Australia and some Pacific (Fiji, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand), Asian (Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, China, Mongolia) and South American (Guyana) countries.
Mr Leu also has extensive expertise in mineral exploration for epithermal and porphyry gold±copper deposits, intrusion-related gold systems, orogenic gold, greisen-hosted molybdenite, wolfram and tin, volcanic-hosted
massive sulphides, nickel-cobalt laterites, chromite, uranium, alluvial gold and platinum; and a range of industrial minerals including diatomite, kaolin, halloysite, zeolite, bentonite and perlite.
He has been a private consultant, and spent seven years as an academic staff of Macquarie University.
