Michael Darcey has experience in strategy and delivery across television, publishing and technology. He also provides strategic consulting services to the media sector.
A New Zealander, Mr Darcey has lived and worked in the UK since 1989. He spent 15 years at Sky UK, initially as the director of strategy before six years as chief operating officer. He played a role in most of Sky UK's major strategic decisions and its major commercial and regulatory dealings and was chief executive of News UK.
Since 2015, Mr Darcey has had a series of non-executive roles including as chair of M247 (a global connectivity and cloud services provider), chair of British Gymnastics, and director of Arqiva (the UK's main independent provider of television broadcast and mobile infrastructure).
