Mike Allen is a registered professional engineer with extensive experience in mine engineering, operations, coal processing, mine startup, coal logistics, mine permitting, and financial analysis.
In addition to his operational and consulting background, Mr Allen has maintained an ongoing interest in promoting mining education within the province of BC for youth and professionals. He is a supporter of the Minerals Ed program which educates teachers about mining in BC.
Mr Allen also holds an active role on the board of the Western Canadian Coal Society, whose mission is to share technical information regarding all aspects of coal mining and facilitates networking opportunities for professionals within the coal mining industry.
Mr Allen graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mining and Mineral Process Engineering, and is registered with the Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia.
