Since admission in early 2012, Melissa Wroe has worked solely in insurance litigation gaining extensive experience in managing claims for insurers and their insureds. Working primarily on public liability matters, including personal injury and property damage claims, Ms Wroe has a depth of experience ranging from complex multi-defendant litigation, to minor ‘trip and slip’ accidents. She is also experienced working on treatment liability matters. Ms Wroe benefits from time spent on ‘both sides of the bench’, completing her practical legal training as an associate at the State Administrative Tribunal. This experience has given her considerable insight into the processes and procedures of Courts and Tribunals which assists her in practice. She regularly appears at the District Court on matters including for pre-trial conferences, mediations, directions hearings, special appointments and interlocutory applications. She also appears at the Supreme Court on various matters. Ms Wroe focuses on public and treatment liability, working hard to uncover material facts that enable her to best advise clients on resolution strategy. She has a special interest in risk management and sits on the RMIA Committee.
