Metalicity has appointed Non-Executive Director Mathew Longworth as its new Chief Executive Officer to drive the company's new focus on the exploration for copper and nickel in the sought after Paterson province of the Pilbara region in Western Australia. This follows founding Managing Director Matt Gauci's decision to step down from his position with effect from 10 January 2019.

Metalicity Limited is now geared for exploration at its prospective new copper project tenements in the highly sought after Paterson region in WA, after netting nearly AUD$1.5m from the sale of non-core lithium and cobalt assets. The company's Pilbara lithium project was sold to Chilean major SQM for AUD$1.35m and a royalty, whilst its Yerrida cobalt project was purchased by Great Western Exploration for $170,000 in cash and shares.

Metalicity Limited says it has outlined four significant structural exploration targets for copper-gold at both of its recently secured large project regions in the Paterson province of the Pilbara region in WA. The company identified two targets each at the Mandora and Desert Queen projects that cover over 900 square kilometres, after compiling and modelling existing geophysical and geological data sets.

The new projects are surrounded by operating mines and significant mineral occurrences. The company is selling off its zinc and lithium interests in WA as it shifts focus towards copper, nickel, cobalt and gold exploration.

The new projects are surrounded by operating mines and significant mineral occurrences. The company is in the process of selling its zinc and lithium interests as it shifts focus towards its copper, nickel and cobalt assets.

Metalicity has received the first payment of CAD$500,000 for the sale of its West Australian zinc projects after Canadian spin-off Kimberley Mining successfully completed the first tranche of its CAD$2m seed capital raising. The company will also receive CAD$20m worth of Kimberley shares and a CAD$4m payment on successful completion of Kimberley's IPO in the December quarter this year.

Metalicity has identified two lithium pegmatites covering over 8km of strike at its Pilgangoora North project in the Pilbara. The exploration targets lie adjacent to a granite outcrop, which is interpreted to be the source of the area's significant lithium mineralisation. The new targets are 9km along strike from the world class Pilgangoora spodumene deposits that hold 269.1 million tonnes grading almost 1.3% lithium oxide.

Metalicity's battery metals ambitions have received a boost with the return of some tantalising results from an innovative geochemical survey just 35kms along strike from the giant Greenbushes lithium mine. A first-pass sampling program has defined two large target areas that could host pegmatites under a lateritic cover with the company planning immediate follow up with an infill survey.

After agreeing terms for the spin-off of its giant Admiral Bay zinc project, Metalicity is now rapidly reshaping the company as a serious player in the battery metals sector. Exploration activity is being stepped up at three well-placed projects in lithium, cobalt and graphite, backed by an MOU already in place with Shanghai Metals for offtake, development and financing support.

Metalicity Limited will seek to extract fair value from its giant Admiral Bay zinc project in the Kimberley of W.A by vending all its zinc assets into a new company, Kimberley Mining Limited, to be listed on Canada's TSX Venture exchange. The deal is worth up to CAD$32.5m for Metalicity and will advance its Admiral Bay project, whilst leaving the company cashed up to pursue its battery metals projects.

Metalicity has commenced RC drilling at the Yerrida Basin near Wiluna and will look to follow up on previous positive indicators at the project that show cobalt may be present. The latest campaign will investigate the project's geological setting, which is considered analogous to the Central African Copper belt that hosts structural/stratigraphic-controlled copper-cobalt and nickel-cobalt sulphide mineralisation.
