Professor Martyn Hook is the deputy pro vice chancellor of partnerships in the College of Design and Social Context at RMIT University, dean of RMIT's School of Architecture & Urban Design and Professor of Architecture, as well as a co-founder and director of iredale pederson hook architects. Prof Hook has been with RMIT since December 2012, including over 8 years in senior management positions such as acting head of architecture & design, followed by a year as head of the School of Art, and 5 years as dean of the School of Media & Communication. He was also the founding director of RMIT's Architecture & Design Postgraduate Program in Europe. As an architect and critic, Prof Hook has lectured internationally on his own practice and broadly on Australian architecture including London, Tokyo, Helsinki, Vienna, Ghent, Aarhus, Rome, KL, Barcelona, the Bauhaus and Bangalore.
