Mark Van Asten has over 30 years of experience in the medical diagnostics and life science industry. He spent his time in international business development, planning and introduction of new technology.
Through Diagnostic Technology, a company he founded, Mr Van Asten managed and has been involved in the development and introduction of technology platforms and technologies into healthcare use, including HPV DNA testing for cervical cancer screening and the molecular monitoring for both viral infections and cancer treatments.
He holds a senior lecturer's position at the School of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Science, University of NSW where he has collaborated on research projects related to biosynthetic pathways in bacteria. He has also held several director level business development positions with US and Australian diagnostics corporations.
