Mark Smith is an experienced executive with over 20 years of experience in financial and operational roles within the mining industry.
Mr Smith was chief financial officer and group financial controller of Centamin (formerly Centamin Egypt), a company listed on the LSE and TSX stock exchanges, and played an integral role in the development, construction and operation of the Sukari Gold Project as well as establishing exploration operations in Burkina Faso and Côte d’Ivoire.
Mr Smith was also the commercial manager of Endeavour Mining and Lihir Gold, both of which operated in producing gold assets in West Africa.
He is a Chartered Company Secretary with a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) from the University of Queensland, and is a Fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants.
