Mark Musarra graduated from the Western Australian Institute of Technology (now Curtin University) with a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering. He also holds a Diploma of Leadership & Management.
He was originally employed by Underwater Video Systems (UVS) as a student intern in 1982 to assist with work on the subsea trenching plough for burial of the main trunk line from Nth Rankin A to the Burrup Peninsula. After graduating, he worked for several years on custom engineering projects for various companies, both in the offshore and mining industries before becoming engineering manager at UVS in 1991 and general manager in 2012. UVS was subsequently known as BlueZone Group from 2015.
