
Dr Mark Granitto held positions in commercial and corporate banking in Perth with Bankwest, National Australia Bank, Citibank and St George Bank over a period of 20 years. In 1998, he was state manager in Western Australia for the Italian Bank, 'Monte Paschi di Siena' (the origins of the Community Banking concept), and led the transformation and changes from 'Monte Paschi di Siena' to Bendigo Bank. He consulted to a number of businesses in his own capacity and as director of Moore Stephens Chartered Accountants. In 2008, Dr Granitto held a leadership position in the Resources Business Unit of the Catholic Education Office which brought about governance change and responsibly implemented the Federal Government's Building Education Revolution project and recurrent funding of approximately $900 million for the catholic schools in Western Australia. After two years in the health industry as general manager, Dr Granitto operates as G-Corporate Advisory. He holds a number of academic qualifications including a Doctoral degree, having studied under the guidance of Professor Geoffrey Soutar from the University of Western Australia.
