Mark Bristow became president and chief executive of Barrick Gold in January 2019, following the completion of a merger between Barrick and Randgold Resources. Mr Bristow was chief executive of Randgold since its incorporation in 1995 and led the company to become a major international gold mining business. He played a pivotal role in promoting the emergence of a sustainable mining industry in Africa.
