Maia Ambegaokar has over 25 years of experience in the social sector and extensive experience in participatory analysis & planning, policy development and monitoring & evaluation. Prior to joining Social Ventures Australia, Ms Ambegaokar was a management consultant and policy advisor in health, international development and women’s rights. She held executive and managerial positions at Abt Associates in Australia, Planned Parenthood in the US, and the World Health Organisation in Switzerland. Ms Ambegaokar was also a Peace Corps volunteer in Togo and has worked in over 20 low and middle-income countries in Africa and Asia-Pacific. She has advised governments, companies, non-profit organisations, community groups, research institutions, international donors and multilateral agencies. Ms Ambegaokar has an MBA from the London Business School, a MSc in Medical Demography from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and a Bachelors degree in Government from Cornell University.
