After graduating from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Marketing and Public Relations, Lynley Papineau joined the family business at Aquatic Leisure Technologies full‐time in 1994. She has been responsible for the marketing and quality assurance aspects of the business. As executive director, Mrs Papineau is involved in all facets of the business, from sales and manufacture, right through to installation and administration. She took over from her dad as managing director of the company in 2017, shortly after the death of her brother Ben. She has been actively involved at committee level in the Swimming Pool and Spa Association of Western Australia (SPASA WA), and was elected the first female president in 2000. Mrs Papineau won the Telstra Business Woman of the Year Award in 2001.
