Lyn Slade is a strong advocate for students and families in rural and remote areas, and has a good understanding of rural and remote education needs through previous roles as a parent of students completing primary, secondary and some tertiary education in the regions and also as a previous chair of several school boards. Ms Slade holds a Bachelor of Business degree and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She is vice chair of the Mount Barker Co-Operative. Ms Slade is also a passionate farmer and is actively involved in the family farming business producing grain, beef and prime lambs near Mount Barker in WA.
