Lizelle Marwick is well versed on multi-jurisdictional legal work covering a wide range of subjects; and has extensive experience in governance, corporate transactions and government negotiations.

She is admitted as an attorney in South Africa and a solicitor in England and Wales.

Ms Marwick joined Anglogold Ashanti in 2011 to establish and head the legal function for its Africa operations. She was appointed executive vice president, general counsel and compliance in July 2020, having previously served as senior vice president and deputy general counsel. Prior to AngloGold Ashanti, Ms Marwick practiced law at Bowmans Gilfillan in South Africa and Herbert Smith in London.
