Linda Lawrance is the director of Australasian Taxation Services (SMATS Group) and manager of its Perth office. In 2003, she joined SMATS Group Singapore as an accountant and mortgage broker. Ms Lawrance and her husband Jason, who is also part of the SMATS team, then moved to London to establish an office there where she specialised as a mortgage broker. They both returned to Australia in 2008 to establish the Perth office and build the Australian SMATS client database.
Prior to SMATS Group, Ms Lawrance was a senior accountant and superannuation fund auditor at a Perth firm.
Earlier in her career, Ms Lawrance completed the Chartered Accountants Professional Program and has been a member of the institute of Chartered Accountants since 2000 and a member of the National Tax and Accountants Association. In 2018, she was promoted to a Fellow Chartered Accountant after being nominated for the advancement by her peers in the accounting industry, as recognition of her outstanding achievements and contributions to the profession and to the community.
Ms Lawrance holds a Public Practicing Certificate with the Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand, a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in Accounting and Taxation, a Certificate IV in Financial Services in Finance and Mortgage Broking, and an Associate Diploma of Business in Accounting. She is also a Registered Tax Agent with the Tax Agents Board since 2003, and a SMSF Auditor registered with ASIC.
