Mr Pasternak was a senior corporate partner at Freehills (now Herbert Smith Freehills) specializing in mergers and acquisitions, public finance and corporate reorganisations. Until February 2014, Leon held the positions of Vice Chairman and Managing Director with Merrill Lynch Markets (Australia) Pty Limited (a subsidiary of Bank of America) with responsibility for the financial institutions group and mergers and acquisitions.
