Lauren McKeown

Lauren McKeown is a senior member of HBA Legal’s workers compensation team, advising on complex matters including psychological injury claims and common-law claims. She has a depth of understanding having worked as a workers’ comp claims officer at a large self-insured employer where she was responsible for the day-to-day management of claims and occupational safety and health issues. Ms McKeown also has experience in attending WorkCover proceedings, preparing training for staff in occupational safety and health, and undertaking site audits at various metro locations. She was a previous underwriting assistant and case manager for Australia’s two most prominent domestic insurance firms, and is able to provide specific and practical advice in disputed matters and claims management processes.
