Kevin Shannon is the general manager of major capital projects for Chevron Australia and is responsible for the delivery of all future major capital projects (MCP) undertaken by the Australian business unit that follow the Gorgon and Wheatstone MCPs. Mr Shannon has a wealth of experience having joined Chevron in 1981 as an offshore field operator in the Gulf of Mexico. Since then, he has held numerous engineering, operations and management positions in Australia, Indonesia and the US. In 2008, Mr Shannon assumed the position of Gorgon upstream development manager and was accountable for the management of the upstream scope of the Gorgon Project. Prior to this, he was the project manager for the Indonesia Deepwater Development. Mr Shannon received his Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering (with Honours) from the University of Houston.
