Kerry Sparkes has over 30 years of experience as a geologist in global mineral exploration.
Based in Canada, Mr Sparkes has been directly involved in the discovery and advancement of major mineral deposits, including the Ovoid discovery at the Voisey’s Bay Nickel Project in Newfoundland and Labrador. He held several executive roles including as vice president of geology for Franco-Nevada Corporation, the world’s largest gold focused royalty and streaming company. He was also vice president of exploration at Rainy River Resources and Messina Minerals. Mr Sparkes began his career as an exploration geologist for Noranda Exploration. He continues to provide ongoing technical advisory services to Franco-Nevada and Prime Mining Corp.
Mr Sparkes holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from the Memorial University in Newfoundland.
