Ken Booth had a 35-year career in education, including 14 years as a secondary teacher of mathematics. He also held positions in curriculum development, HR projects and policy (including system wide job analysis for school promotional positions), development of school education legislation, organisational redevelopment. On leaving the education sector, Mr Booth undertook several work assignments in the education sector in Fiji (overseas aid) and also became a civil celebrant. He is now a full-time civil celebrant providing services at funerals, weddings and other ceremonies mainly within the Perth metropolitan area. Mr Booth has extensive experience in community service, especially in the disability sector and governance of an independent school.
