Keith Dunlap joined the Basketball WA board in March 2007 but stepped down in December 2021 for health reasons. He was a board member for 15 years, including eight years as chair. During that time, Mr Dunlap was also a board member of Perth Lynx and was instrumental in driving the SBL to re-brand to the national league of NBL1 West, aligning with other states, with the objective to creating a clearer player pathway to the NBL.
Mr Dunlap played in the Basketball WA domestic competition and at the Australian Masters Games. He was bestowed with the distinguished Basketball WA Life Membership award in March 2022 for his outstanding services and contribution to the sport in Western Australia. Mr Dunlap was also a Life Member of the Posse Softball Club.
He passed away in May 2022.
