Kay Hallahan
Kay Hallahan is a former Member for Armadale and former Labor Party government minister. Ms Hallahan served as a minister in the Burke, Dowding and Lawrence WA governments, and was the first woman to sit in both the WA Legislative Assembly and the WA Legislative Council. She retired from parliament at the 1996 election. Ms Hallahan was made an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) in 2002 for her contribution to the state parliament and a wide range of community organisations.
