Kathy Melville was admitted to practice in 2001. She specialises in the defence of workers’ compensation claims, the pursuit of recovery claims on behalf of workers’ compensation insurers, and the defence of public liability claims.
She has advised insurers across all stages from preliminary advice only, to early resolution of suitable matters, robust defence of contentious claims, and expert advice regarding issues of policy and practice. Ms Melville also provides advice and representation at Conciliation and Arbitration within WorkCover WA, representation on appeals, and defence of common law workers’ compensation claims in the District Court. Her work in the public liability arena encompasses both personal injury and property damage claims.
