Kathryn Netherwood
Kathryn Netherwood began her teaching career in a small indigenous school in outback South Australia for three years, then for two years in Port Augusta.

She moved to Western Australia, obtained her Bachelor of Education and began working at Lance Holt School, initially as the pre-primary/Year 1 teacher, then as Year 2/3 teacher. In 2000, Ms Netherwood took on the role of coordinator whilst still teaching the Year 2/3 class. Since 2015, she has worked as a coordinator full-time. Ms Netherwood led the school in the National Initiative, KidsMatter. Lance Holt School was the first school in Australia to receive national recognition of implementing the KidsMatter Program.

Ms Netherwood has a special interest in values education and has presented nationally on values education and had articles published in educational journals and books.

In 2013, she attended an Educational Study Tour to Singapore and in 2014 the China Study Tour.
