Karen Fleischer

Karen Fleischer is a commercial lawyer with more than 30 years of experience. She started her career working for major law firms specialising in commercial property law, and for 16 years has worked as an in-house legal adviser to a number of companies. Ms Fleischer is general counsel of resources for a global resources company with mines and processing plants in Western Australia, and upstream processing operations in the US and Japan. Previously she spent over 10 years as the senior in-house legal adviser for an ASX 200 company involved in agricultural investment. Ms Fleischer has wide ranging experience with professional and not-for-profit organisations including 9 years on the Western Australian State Executive of the Australian Corporate Lawyers Association, with 2 years as a director and Western Australian State President. She has also served 8 years as a member of the Western Australian Regional Council for Redkite, a national not-for-profit organisation providing financial, emotional and educational support to children and young people with cancer and their families, including 5 years as President. Ms Fleischer has been a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors since 2000.
