Julian Wright
Julian Wright is one of three children of the late Peter Wright, who played a pioneering role in the development of Western Australia’s iron ore industry. As a result of royalties deals negotiated by Peter Wright in the 1960s, his family is one of the wealthiest in Australia.
Julian Wright sold out of the family company (Wright Prospecting) to his siblings Angela Bennett and Michael Wright in 1987.
In 2004, Julian Wright moved to the wine region of Yallingup to take over the running of Marri Wood Park Estate. The vineyard now has a farm with cattle, sheep and chickens.
