Josephine Johnson has been chairperson of Regional Arts WA since June 2025.

Ms Johnson has extensive experience in the arts sector and a lengthy corporate career in WA and overseas, serving in leadership roles with Rio Tinto for 13 years, including as Global Marketing Director of Rio Tinto Diamonds from 2017 to 2021.

She transitioned to becoming a full-time practicing artist in 2018 and her paintings and sculptures have been represented in private collections across Australia, Singapore and Scotland.
