Jon Sutton

Jon Sutton has over 20 years of experience in banking.

He joined the Bank Of Queensland in June 2012 and became its chief executive and managing director from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, he was the managing director of Bankwest and executive general manager of Commonwealth Bank Agribusiness. Mr Sutton was also general manager of client risk solutions at Commonwealth Bank where he was responsible for marketing derivative products including interest rates, commodities and foreign exchange.

He was also head of resources and agribusiness, and head of corporate risk management commodities where he was charged with marketing and commodity hedging products to Australian institutions within the base metals, precious metals and energy sectors.
