John Theobold

John Theobald has over 35 years of experience in the international mining industry and has been involved with exploration, business development, operations, investments and capital markets. From 1999 to 2008, he held a number of senior positions with Sibelco where he gained significant experience of kaolin, feldspar, clay and quartz markets and operations. During his career, Mr Theobold was involved in the exploration for (and development of) gold, base metals, coal and industrial mineral deposits in Eastern Europe, CIS, Turkey, Africa and Western Europe. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining; Fellow of the Geological Society of London; Member of the Institute of Directors (UK); Member of Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy; Member of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration; and Member of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum. Mr Theobald holds a BSc with honours in Geology from the University of Nottingham, and is qualified as a Chartered Engineer with the UK Engineering Council.
