John Macaulay
John Macaulay is a Chartered Engineer with over 26 years of experience in the public and private sectors across UK, Middle East, Turkey and Australia. His experience covers a wide range of projects including the assessment of major developments, design of highway and public transport schemes, and the assessment of major infrastructure projects.

Mr Macaulay was previously based in London and led the development planning team for Jacobs on projects including Battersea Power Station and other major developments in London. He has acted as an expert witness at a number of public inquiries throughout the UK, including on behalf of Buckinghamshire County Council associated with the Project Pinewood Masterplan proposed by Pinewood Studios. As part of his international experience, Mr Macaulay was responsible for major projects in Abu Dhabi, Qatar and Istanbul where he was responsible for the traffic engineering and management assessment associated with the Istanbul Road Tunnel Crossing Project.

He arrived in Western Australia in 2012 and has since led a number of high profile projects for AECOM including major public transport projects such as the MAX Light Rail project, Canberra Light Rail, and Ellenbrook Bus Rapid Transit. He also led on strategic planning projects for Activity Centres within WA and the transport strategies for a number of private sector masterplans.
