ASX-listed Askari Metals has completed the second phase of on-ground exploration at the Barrow Creek lithium project in the Northern Territory's highly prospective Arunta pegmatite province. The work was designed to systematically explore outcropping lithium-caesium-tantalum type pegmatites where initial reconnaissance sampling had confirmed the presence of lithium mineralisation identifying up to 817 parts per million lithium oxide.

The company completed 1,300 metres over 13 reverse circulation holes following on from a number of significant strikes in the first pass. The junior has its eyes on a third round as it keenly awaits assay results.

ASX-listed junior explorer Askari Metals has unveiled some sizeable lithium targets with a hyperspectral survey at its Yarrie project in the eastern Pilbara hotspot. Seven high priority targets were identified including one measuring a staggering 88 square kilometres and another with a potential strike length of 24km. The company is aiming for on-ground exploration to commence as soon as possible.

Askari Metals has a busy schedule ahead with multiple rock chip sampling, soil sampling, drone magnetic surveys and drilling campaigns planned across its prospective looking West Australian tenure. The company also recently snapped up some prime lithium real estate at its Red Peak project north of Meekatharra that boasts lithium bearing pegmatites never previously explored for lithium.

Askari Metals has confirmed lithium mineralisation through laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy of rock chip samples at its Red Peak pegmatite project approximately 130 kilometres northwest of Meekatharra. Assay results from the recent rock chip sampling program across eleven significant pegmatites are expected back from the lab within the next week with a follow up gridded rock chip sampling program also planned to commence within the next week.

Askari Metals has completed a maiden lithium sampling program across its pegmatite targets at its Red Peak Lithium project approximately 130 kilometres northwest of Meekatharra in WA. 35 samples were collected across four different mapped pegmatites for assay in addition to a petrographic analysis that was undertaken to assist in understanding the zonation and fractionation grade of the pegmatites.

Assay results from Askari Metals' drilling at its WA Burracoppin gold project have confirmed several high-grade intercepts with a broad low-grade gold halo seen in many of the other holes. Additionally, the company has identified a new prospect east of the current system. Askari plans to follow up this area which has the potential to positively change the size and the scale of the Burracoppin project significantly.

New kid on the ASX block, Askari Metals has high-jumped into its planned work program at the Callawa copper project with a detailed mapping and sampling campaign across its highly prospective Pilbara tenements in Western Australia. The company's 100 per cent owned Callawa tenure covers 167 square kilometres in the Pilbara's north, east of Rio Tinto's famed Winu discovery.

ASX-listed junior explorer Askari Metals has kicked off an initial mapping and geochemical sampling program at its “heavily under-explored” Horry copper-gold project about 90km south-west of Halls Creek in WA's Kimberley region. The company says the Horry exploration licence area takes in a smattering of old copper and gold workings including the Western Lead gold mine and the Horry Horse and Leo copper-gold workings.

ASX newcomer Askari Metals hopes to get cracking on a reconnaissance exploration program at its “heavily under-explored” Springdale copper-gold project in NSW during the current quarter after receiving formal approval of its exploration licence application. The Perth-based company is looking to start mapping and sampling soon and shortly get an induced polarisation survey under way that is aimed at pinpointing potential copper-gold drill targets.

Askari Metals is on the verge of kicking off a maiden round of reverse circulation drilling at its flagship Burracoppin gold project in WA. The company has now finalised plans for the initial 2,000m program and will be looking to follow up on a slew of historical high-grade drill results and vector in on gold mineralisation below a line of old artisanal mining shafts.

Askari Metals has undertaken an initial field reconnaissance program at its Burracoppin gold project about 20km east of Merredin in WA's eastern Wheatbelt region prior to its planned inaugural reverse circulation drilling program kicking off next week. The company says during the reconnaissance work several old shallow artisanal mining shafts that are prevalent along an interpreted strike length of about 1.6km were given a once-over.
