Joanne Steer assists clients in the hard rock mining industry with project acquisitions, disposals and development. She has extensive experience in the negotiation and drafting of agreements relating to tenement and share sales, earn-in and earn-out arrangements, unincorporated and incorporated joint ventures, mining subleases and split commodity arrangements, commodity sales and royalties. Ms Steer also has experience in offtake and streaming-related project finance transactions, and the engagement of mining services contractors (including toll treatment arrangements). She also assists in private mergers and acquisitions (including business acquisitions), initial public offerings and backdoor listings (including the preparation of solicitors' reports on mining tenements and associated due diligence). Ms Steer has acted for clients with projects in most Australian states and territories as well as in Africa, Europe and the Americas. She has been named as a 'Rising Star' by Expert Guides.
