Jennifer Kirk

Jennifer Kirk has extensive experience in the commonwealth treasury, a strong understanding of key policy issues in WA, and an extensive network of contacts in government and industry.

Prior to becoming a director of priority sector development at the WA Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation in January 2021, Ms Kirk was an associate director at Cannings Purple; three years with the Commonwealth Treasury including as assistant director in the Perth office where she led stakeholder and regional engagement on important economic policy reform affecting the WA government and business, from the state’s growing LNG industry to its tertiary education sector; and a senior policy advisor with the Department of Finance and the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, where she led a team working on financial system policy reform.

Ms Kirk holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Notre Dame where she was awarded the Minter Ellison Prize for Intellectual Property, and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Politics.
