Jean-Paul Wallace has extensive experience in providing key legal advice and support as part of corporate leadership teams, including five years as general counsel. At CPB Contractors, Mr Wallace leads a team delivering services across a diverse range of activities including legal risk management, tenders and general commercial contract reviews, as well as providing project support and, if necessary, management of arbitration and litigation. He also leads the company secretary function, providing key services relating to the company’s statutory requirements. Before joining CPB Contractors, Mr Wallace was general counsel of Tenix Australia. He has also held senior positions at UGL, Downer EDI, and Corrs Chambers Westgarth. His experience means he combines knowledge acquired in private legal practice with the commercial skills and practical considerations of industry. Mr Wallace also spent 2 years in a major legal firm in Hong Kong which has provided a valuable international perspective. He has a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney, and a Graduate Diploma in Corporate Governance from the Governance Institute of Australia.
