Jason Economidis

Director, Illawarra Metallurgical Coal / South32

Jason Economidis became joint chief operating officer of South32 in July 2020 and has accountability for Australia manganese, Cannington, Illawarra Metallurgical Coal (IMC) and Worsley Alumina. Prior to that appointment, Mr Economidis was vice president of operations at IMC since 2018.

Mr Economidis is an experienced mining executive, having spent over 25 years running large-scale operations in Australia with companies including Orica, Peabody, Vale and BHP.
