Jaap Tonckens has extensive finance expertise in operations that are international and complex, financing transactions, group debt and refinancing in different countries and currencies.
Mr Tonckens was an associate of Shearman & Sterling LLP in New York and Paris. He is also an associate, vice president and executive director at Morgan Stanley in London, managing director of leverage & acquisition finance at Morgan Stanley in New York, and managing director of Endurance Capital in New York.
He was appointed to the management board of Unibail-Rodamco as general counsel in September 2009 and became chief investment officer in October 2010, chief financial officer in July 2012, and group chief financial officer in June 2018 following the Westfield Transaction.
