Iona Sjahadi joined HBA Legal's Sydney office as a senior associate in March 2015 and became a partner in July 2020. She has strong experience in public and product liability claims, workers compensation and fraud. She represents clients in the NSW District Court, Supreme Court and Court of Appeal. Practicing law since May 2006, Ms Sjahadi has worked primarily in public liability defence and CTP (motor accidents) claims on behalf of Australia’s largest insurers. Her experience managing major, complex and catastrophic claims spans eight years including senior roles at Vardanega Roberts Solicitors, NRMA and Sparke Helmore Lawyers. Her time as a senior injury claims consultant at NRMA saw Ms Sjahadi managing a team responsible for litigated and unlitigated claims, CARS matters and fraud cases. She is adept at identifying and investigating fraud claims.
