Iain Torrance

Iain Torrance, an experienced animal welfare advocate, was chief executive of RSPCA WA from March to July 2019. Prior to that, he was chief executive of Chatham Islands Enterprise Trust Group and the SPCA in Wellington, New Zealand’s largest animal welfare not-for-profit organisation, where he led a major turnaround of the organisation by addressing serious financial, operational and reputational issues. He also led the re-homing of Wellington SPCA’s operations into an award-winning community facility, with a new focus on education to prevent animal cruelty.
