Helen O’Neil is deputy chair of the Cultural Facilities Corporation, an ACT Government enterprise which manages the Canberra Theatre Centre, Canberra Museum and Art Gallery, and ACT Historic Places. She is also chair of South East Arts NSW, a regional arts development organisation. Ms O'Neil has experience as an advocate, manager and policy advisor in the cultural sector and was a director of the British Council Australia. Other roles included executive director of the Australian Major Performing Arts Group and of the Council for Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences; senior advisor to the Minister for the Arts, director of Craft ACT and chair of the Confederation of Australian International Arts Festivals.
