Helen O'Brien has more than 25 years of experience. She commenced her career in Australia and was the top prizewinner in the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand exams. Following completion of her masters degree, she moved to the UK to work in an accounting firm where she was responsible for rolling out the new PwC audit approach to over 500 staff, and was involved in writing and presenting material, putting procedures in place to ensure compliance including conducting subsequent quality assurance reviews. Ms O'Brien returned to Australia in 2000 and has since been heavily involved in goods and services tax advice, reviews and presentations, as well as managing income tax compliance services to clients in various industries. Her major clients are largely involved in the mining, construction and engineering industries including several listed companies where she provides tax compliance and tax advice, GST and FBT reviews.
