Greg Howlett graduated from Curtin University and began his career in the Middle East on large hotel resort projects before heading to Marbella in Spain. After attending the UK’s renowned Architecture Association Summer School, he returned to Australia as a partner of the historic Perth practice Howlett and Bailey. The practice merged with Cox Architecture in 1995, adopting the name Cox Howlett Bailey Woodland. Mr Howlett has been the project architect of the Western Australian Maritime Museum, East Perth Government Offices, Albert Facey House, the Western Australian Institute of Management, Singapore Airlines House, and All Saints College. He was president of the Australian Institute of Architects Western Australian Chapter, chair of the WA branch of the Australian Council of Building Design Professionals, and chair of the WA Government Research and Development Advisor Council. Mr Howlett has been a member of the WA Government’s Arts Advisory Council, the Curtin University School of Architecture Advisory Committee, the Heritage Council of Western Australia’s Development Committee, and the Uniting Church Resource Board and Investment Committee in Western Australia.
