Glen Kelly

A Noongar man from the Lower South West, Glen Kelly has over 20 years of experience in Aboriginal affairs, native title, community development and indigenous land management at local, national and international levels. He has extensive skills in land asset management, income generation and employment. As chief executive of the South West Aboriginal Land and Sea Council (SWALSC) for nearly a decade, Mr Kelly was the chief negotiator for the Noongar people with WA State Government to achieve the South West Native Title Settlement, the largest of its type in Australia. He was also the chief executive of the National Native Title Council. Mr Kelly is a director of Reconciliation Australia and Senator of Murdoch University. He has been a member of several prominent committees and statutory authorities at State and Commonwealth levels including the West Australian Planning Commission, EPBC Indigenous Advisory Committee and the Aboriginal Lands Trust. Mr Kelly is the winner in the Aboriginal Award category of the 2019 Western Australian Of The Year Awards.
