Geoff Healy joined BHP Billiton as chief legal counsel in June 2013. Prior to that, he was a partner at Herbert Smith Freehills for 16 years and worked widely across its network of Australian and international offices. His core field of expertise is complex corporate and regulatory advisory work, risk management, investigations and disputes. Mr Healy has been an active member of the International Bar Association (International Litigation) and is the Australian Chair of that Committee. He is also a member of the New South Wales Law Society professional conduct review tribunal and had undertaken work for a range of charitable and not-for-profit organisations over many years.
