Geoff Dixon

Geoff Dixon is an experienced and successful corporate executive with a background in the media, mining, aviation and tourism industries. He joined Qantas Airways in 1994 and was managing director and chief executive for eight years until 2008. He also served as chief commercial officer and was deputy managing director for 2 years. Mr Dixon was chair of the Australian Government's principal tourism authority, Tourism Australia, for six years from 2009 to June 2015. Mr Dixon is chairman of the privately-held Australian Pub Fund and is on the board of the publicly listed Australian company Adslot. He is also chair of the Garvan Medical Research Foundation, is on the Board of the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, and an Ambassador for the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation.
