Gavin Ryan has over 28 years of industry experience including over 25 years as a senior oil and gas lawyer, and has worked on a diverse range of projects in more than 30 countries. These have included negotiating substantial M&A transactions, some of the most globally significant long-term LNG sales & purchase agreements, term and spot crude sales agreements, numerous farm-outs, joint ventures, concession and unit agreements, and associated commercial arrangements. He was admitted to practise in Australia (Western Australia, Victoria, Tasmania, High Court of Australia) and was formerly admitted in England & Wales. Mr Ryan completed the Graduate course of the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2012, is an active member of the Resources & Energy Law Association (AMPLA) and has spoken at a number of industry conferences. Since 2012, Mr Ryan has been a non-executive director of Mungalalu Truscott Airbase and Troughton Island, which run two remote airbases in the far north Kimberley region of WA.
